Truck is a 2014 3500 SRW CC LB 4x4 G56 6.7 with 3.42's and 35's (295/65/20).

I tow an 11,000 pound travel trailer and it pulls it good but could use a little more in the hills. I would think this is mostly due to the ridiculous torque management.

Anyway, thoughts on going to 4.10's vs. going with a TS Stryker/New Clutch?

Seems that costs is about the same with either option

I'd go with the gears. Mines an auto, but even with mine being tuned I wanna do gears. Just my 2 cents

I don't know if I'd like 4.10's. With 3.73 and 34.5" tires I'm turning right around 2100 at 70mph.
I ran the gear calculator on grimjeeper.com for my setup on 4.10's with 35.1" tires (295/65/20 Toyo ATII's) vs what a stock dually would have with 3.73's and 31.8" tires (235/80/17) and the rpms were almost identical:

4.10 and 35.1 at 60mph in 6th 1743 and 5th 2355
3.73 and 31.8 at 60mph in 6th 1750 and 5th 2365

4.10 and 35.1 at 70mph in 6th 2033
3.73 and 31.8 at 70mph in 6th 2042

Gears seems to be the obvious choice but I'm more hesitant to tear down the axles (especially since I assume I have the 11.8" ring gear instead of the 11.5") and regear vs a mild tune on the motor.

Wish gearing was an option on the SRW trucks from the factory

Using the same calculator that drag used when I was researching a bit I checked on the SRW 33s and 342s with g56 going to 35s with 373s would get you 100rpm higher at highway speeds.

If 4.10s higher obviously but I cant recall the difference.

Yep, that's right b/c I ran the calculator before I went to 35's and noticed it would only drop 100rpm going to 35's. But don't the base trucks actually come with 245/75/17 tires (31.5" tall)? If so the rpm difference would be more.

I really just want more grunt pulling hills at highway speeds. I got caught off guard on a really steep climb pulling my camper on a state highway and hit the bottom at 55mph in 5th gear but topped it at 35mph and was in 3rd gear to maintain that. That climb is probably 1.5 miles long and I don't know the grade but I would guess 7%. I felt that was an excessive drop in speed for only pulling an 11,000 pound travel trailer. I've got a trip in a few weeks where I will be on some slower speed winding climbs pulling the camper with one spot where I will be pulling off from a dead stop on a really steep grade so we'll see how it does there. My previous 2012 Ram 3500 with 68rfe, 3.73, 34's had no issues with any of these same roads towing the same camper.

Using this chart fill your numbers in to the yellow areas and figure out what you want.
I had a 5.9 with G56 but it was the pre 2007 with the wrong 6th gear. That was doing 2200 at 65 but man would it tow a trailer. (and empty 100% highway at 65 I could repeatable get 25mph hand calculated.)

Do not regear! Put in any tune and you will be so much happier. I had an 07 with the
.79 OD ratio with 3.73's and I wish I could have ordered 3.42's. I put in a gear vendors OD and that made it driveable. In 05 I reageared my 2500 with 5600 trans from 3.55's to 4.10's with 35's and I wish I never did. I turned the power up and it made a huge difference.

I would gear to keep rpms stock with larger tires. Tune as your heart desires

I agree. I have 295/65r20's with a G56 and 3.42 and tow heavy. Tuning made all the difference in the world and I'm not spinning 3k RPM's on the highway...
With the g56 3.42 is still a steeper final ratio than a 3.73 equipt 68rfe and aisin. Even a simple plug and play edge juice on setting 1 or 2 will show great results with emmisions intact. Plus you get the CTS for gauges. And can remove the thing completely in about a 1/2hr if the need should arise. I recommend trying that or similar first as if you don't like it, you can simply resell it and then take a different path.
