how did u fix the leak???

 

Replace the O-ring?......that would be my first choice

 

The O-ring that come with the Sinister EGR delete are junk I had to replace mine with a regular o ring. The rectangular o ring that come with it are junk they don't seal that good

 

who

sells the hose adapter by its self have every thing else needed for2nd gen swap

 

they definitely leak more often than the factory setup

 

My sinister kit is leaking at the Oring at the coolant pipe, only a small cold water leak, once any heat is on it, the leak stops....

 

I'm going to have to watch my sinister set up.

No issues with this.

 

They also make the same design to still run the coolant line.

 

i used Rector seal on my Sinister kit. Before the head studs and after. i haven't had any problems.

 

Might have to try that glacier plug . Havent decided on my best option yet . And I do apologize on the lack of response , have been swamped with end of the year work

 

I had mine leaking at the sinister adapter on the riser pipe, but replaced the o ring now its fine. Now it leaks very little at the other end on the block. Would it hurt anything to just plug both ends, would I be losing anything if I did se?

 

Man so many people are having trouble with these EGR delete kits.

I'm leaving mine on and unplugged.

 

I mean, they rarely leak or rupture, so that's probably the best course of action.

But if you were to remove it, don't use cheap chinese scrap metal like sinister...

 

Sinister egr delete . Been on for 45k miles.. about 4yrs.
If i still have it when the water pump poops out I'll change the o-ring...

 

And I thought I was the only one with an occasional leak. I was going to put a small bead of RTV but I'll swap the o-ring first.
