I have a quadzilla over a bully dog with crazy larry but my egt was pretty high
I dony paid for that it come with when i bought it. The truck run strong but
Hate to see numbers like 1580...... I look seriously for an efi live but i need to
Know if it stackable or alone it can give me more power than my set up?

Thank you thats what i think. I read alot on efi live but nothing on stacking
Thats for why i ask. It seem to be a non limit tuner and really wan to buy one.
Probably it will be easy to sell i have the crazy larry inside that a lot of people
Wanna have. Or maybe ke it for my mud truck..... (starting the project soon
6bt in a dakota with a stick on 40" boggers......)

I think they are working on a six position switch or something similar like the dmax and powerstroke guys have so you can change tunes

you can keep stacking $#!t on your truck if you like but i prefer not to. and if the trucks properly tuned you DON'T need to.
I on the other hand will just keep rolling down the road with just the slightest puff of smoke (not even as much as SW1) @ WOT and the most efficient running tune to date for my truck. while knowing everything that is going on within the ECM.
I can pretty much GUARANTEE once you try EFI Live you will no longer think about "stacking" other uneeded B.S. with it.

the RP tables in my tunes are LIGHTLY modified and my "race" tune put down 544 hp 1128 ft lbs never hit 1300* egts
stock turbo stock injecters stock cp3 rail held solid @ 25k psi @ WOT all the way up to 3k rpm.
I see no need to stack a damn thing
buggity buggity buggity lets go racin

Question - about the cranking up rp when you are driving down the road and get into a "race" scenario. Cant you build the tune dependent on throttle position as well so once you go to 100% throttle it ramps up the rp making it essentially the same as "cranking" up the knob?

Probably not many if any.

Rich at DogHouse is in the 10's with his heavy pig and only pushes 24.5k of RP.

The tiny gain would not be worth the risk of carnage.. Trust Me!! lol

Now for a slightly different question closley related. I have the Banks six gun with IQ. (I know, I know). I do like the gauges & safety featuresbuilt in. Now this is a Tuner, not a programer. It works in conjunction with the ECM, not overwriting the factory tune like a programer does. Setting #1 is stock. I do run it all the time on Level 7 because I get the best fuel milage & seems to run the best. Question is if I could run on Level 1 (stock) with an EFI tune so I could still use my gauges? Only issues with gauges is FRP maxed out @ 26.1K & only reads up to 46psi boost. All right in my current application & would have to get gauges after installing compounds. Please no bashing, just informative replies appreciated.

I just read through all the bashing and owning then went back to page one to make sure I am on topic. My question is similar to the Banks 6 gun.

I bought an Edge when I bought a broken truck for guages and a starter programmer.
I'll be the first to tell you all the faults and benefits of the Edge.
I very soon plan on a 64ish turbo or compounds, injectors, pump, and a little more. I am seriously thinking of a smarty in this parts order mainly for EGT's, TQ mgmt, and available tunes. No pressure boxes for me.

I will pretty much without question get EFI live when it's available but I hate to throw away two programmers purchased in the last year. Selling would be pretty much impossible here. I really like the guages on the edge.

AND the question. Is there any reason why I can't keep the EDGE for gauges?

In or around June EFI should be available and then the 6 or 5 position switch after that. The only good point in my opinion made by the basher is clear to me. I expect to be around 550-600H.P. I have had that in a big block Chevelle and I want to some time be able to switch on the fly for a rain tune. They become useless in the rain especially when it hasn't rained for a while.

Edge for guages is the question.

Finally some one said it

But I am confused...DieselPlower told me in another thread that I did'nt need a rail pressure gauge if I was running efi

Anyone see what goofball posted in the whine and moan about avatars thread?

I agree with the OP. Lots of immature wanna be tough guys on this site who really add little to no actual benifit to the forum. The amount of misinformation and basic lack of class on here is phenominal. I tell people if you want facts go to tdr or comp d (lots of jerks there too). If you want opinions and bs, go to cf.
