I have an edge juice with attitude and I just bought an edge ez to stack with my attitude. But how do you do it? Is it even possible?

I should have checked this out before but its to late now.

If you have this stack how do you like it? I have the hot unlock.......

This wont work, even if you can hook them up somehow, DONT. They essentially do the same thing except the juice has more power levels.

THIS IS INCORRECT

You can stack them on any 04.5-07 truck. I'm not sure of the connection procedure on the wires, but it can be done.

DO NOT STACK them on on 03-04 or 98.5-02 trucks.

04.5-07 Juice DOES NOT add pressure.

03-04 Juice DOES add pressure.

I didnt know there was a difference, I guess I should know what im talking about before I start pulling words out of my @zz.:S:

#4 ·
yes from what i understand. the attitude doesent add pressure on my truck. and the ez does.... It like the mp8 with less levels...

I just dont know how to hook it up. I know people have done it with the same year trucks......but how?

#5 ·
i would plug in the juicer first, then plug the ez in line with that. i have the ez also and you juice connects almost the same way, yours having all the injectors plugs.
so for the map sensor--- juice plug, ez, then truck
same for rail sensor---- juice plug, ez
try that???

#7 ·
hey no problem 98!

Thanks for the help though!!!

#8 ·
ok so for the plugging order... does that make a difference? could I get more power plugged in a different way?

#9 ·
i would say the ez first then the juice so your attitude monitor is showing the right stuff otherwise if you go juice then ez juice will go to its limits you set in it but then the ez will take it past that evenatleast for the rail and map maybe rail you could do the other way idk on the injectors either

Did you stack the two yet? I also have an 05 with that stack. I talked to edge tech when I sent it in for the Hot unlock, and he told me to plug the juice to the map and the ez to the juice. These are made to run together if you have them both.

#11 ·
i havent hookd it up yet because I dont have an airdog.... but you run it? what levels do you daily drive in? then have a fast car pull up along side what levels do u put it in? 5/3? sonn to be 6/3.....

just curious cause I know pressure is kinda bad all the time

#12 ·
I talked to another tech at Edge today who told me that the Ez and the Attitude were not made to run together and that they had dyno tested an 05 with the stack with only 6 hp gains by doing so. He also told me if I was going to run them together to plug them in opposite as the other tech - ez then attitude. I dont know, I started blowing alot more smoke when I stacked them, and felt like a little power gain. I run mine on 3 most all of the time and turn it down to pull. I will need a new tq soon.

#13 ·
o well the ez is the same as the mp8 just not as much gain but people say that it makes a pretty big difference...... I will see when I hook it up and if I like it.... I will keep it and if not.... I wont.

need the airdog first though.... I already drop to 5 psi at WOT

How to hook up?

I'm in the same situation, already have the Juice w/ attitude and just bought an EZ to stack with it. What order did you guys decide on to hook it up?

#15 ·
I never did it yet. the only info I got was the stuff that people posted on this thread

I'm hoping I can give some insight here... The Juice has a boost fooler built in, where as the EZ does not. With that being the case, you would want to plug the EZ in first so it get's the correct MAP value to start fueling. Once it passes through the EZ the Juice will then start fueling off of the same correct value. Plug them in the other way around and the MAP values will already be modified from the Juice by the time the EZ see's them. As for the HP, you will see a decent gain, however this stack will mainly help on the bottom end to get the turbo lit. I hope this is of some help.

alright, because two people said to do it opposite ways so I was just wondering what you decided you were going to do or if anyone else has any input one way or another

i have tis stack in my 06 for about a year now. edge juice hot with the ez i picked up 1 mpg when i added the ez on. to me it feels stronger up top with the ez. the juice on level 6 and the ez on 2 is very fun but very hot.

#20 ·
hmmm sounds good. I think we have a definite answer the ez first.... I really want to do it but I already drop to 5 psi and The ez is going to drop it way more I think. I NEED/WANT an airdog so bad!!!!!!!

Thanks everybody

I will post if I ever get the dang thing hooked up!

Had the same problem on my 04 with fuel pressure. I put a good aftermarket lift pump on and currently run 15psi at idle and dip to about 11psi under a hard pull. My results have been MUCH better now that I have good fuel pressure.

#22 ·
Edge guy...

Can you confirm that the Juice + Attitude does NOT increase rail pressure at any setting ?
I have it on a '06.

Thanks !

#23 ·
Jay - I think I'm going to adopt the name of "Edge Guy" from here on out! In the mean time I'll go by the name of Aaron if that works for you. As for your question about the rail pressure on an 06, the Juice with Attitude does NOT raise rail pressure. Actually you may see a bit of a dip due to the timing and duration of the tune in the Juice. The EZ on the other hand is a bit of a different story. The only years that we added pressure in were from 03-early 04. The rest of them simply push timing and duration. I hope this is of some help.

#24 ·
Thanks for the info Aaron !

I've seen several reports of increased fuel mileage when using higher levels of tune IF you can keep off the throttle. I've always figured it was due to timing. I've wanted to try it out but was concerned about higher then stock fuel rail pressure - we've all heard what that can (might ? will ?) do to your injectors :)

Now I'll go ahead and dial up the higher levels and see what it does. I know it increases power - that's obvious. I want to see if it makes a worthwhile increase in economy when cruising at partial throttle.

#25 ·
I would have to agree that you will more than likely see better mileage with the higher levels... I have seen about 2 mpg better out of my truck in level 5. The key is that you have to treat the acc. pedal as though it's an egg shell.

#27 ·
im just nervous to hook it up because when I first got my gauge the pump could hold 8-10 psi on level 6 but now it goes anywhere from 4-5 psi.... So I know the pump is on its way out and I dont want to speed that up because I have no money to throw at the truck right now

Wish i did tho

#28 ·
8-10 psi seems pretty high for that much fueling on a stock pump to be honest 4-5 is about where it should be. Where is your sender?

Look at a big line kit and hi-flow banjo's, they will really free up restrictions.

On a more important note, you will want true 2um filtration before running a pressure box.

#29 ·
I have the gauge hooked up at the bottom of the fuel filter....

Whats an airdogg 150 or 165 come with filtration wise? Will the filter needed to be upgraded to a 2um like u said or will it do?

thanks

#37 ·
The AD's come with a 20um f/w sep rated at 95% free and 75% emulsified water sep, and a 5um absolute 2um at 94% final fuel filter.

Baldwin PF7977 in the OE canister is 5um absolute, 2um nominal, 95% emulsified and 98% free water sep.

The AD final filtering is pretty close to 2um, and probably fine. If you change their OE filter to a Donaldson P551315 its 3um absolute, and that will be better for running pressure.

so far i got my best mpg's on level 6 on the juice and level 1 on the ez 22 mpg hand calc. the over head display shows 27-28 mpgs. but its so hard to stay out of it on the higher levels lol:banghead:..... so i just run around on level 1 on the juice and level 1 on the ez getting a solid 20 mpg hand clac. and over head shows 24-25 mpgs and thats all mixed driving, towing, stop light drags lol

i also run 2 stroke oil as a additive
