This is from Marco's web site

If you already use thermocouple simulators ( “SIMS” ) you can eventually leave them in place but we HIGHLY
recommend to remove them! We have found a wide variety of problems caused by out of spec / faulty / false
contacts SIMS. Thus it is best to remove them!
looks like you have to remove them.

hey andy are you gonna remove your sims? also let me know what settings you go with and how you like it.

lol just one extra of the many that ya'll currently get. hey marco i have a few different results on how my truck acts on different settings if you would like for me to email them to you or post them in here.

went out and pulled the sims and downloaded the software. Started it up and drove around the block and guess what. No codes and it runs great. I will give a full report either late tonight when I stop or tomorrow when I get home.
Andy
lyssy, I am running on sw#3 all settings on 2. I will see how this does I am going to be towing my cousins camper tonight to the campground and running back empty. I might bump it up to 5 for the return trip have not decided yet.

Yeah I am trying to get mine back from my buddy. He says his wife put it up and he can't find it. I told him he better or he will be buying me a bunch of beer to make up for the call I will have to make to edge to order new software. :)

#15 ·
lol i called the edge tech support and i just downloaded the fusion software from their site but i didn't see all the options to customize it like you can with the software that comes with it. i dunno i was just more concerned with getting it just to read again.

If I get my software I will send you a copy of it snail mail. Email me your address and I will try and get you a full copy of the software mailed to you.

i wish there was someway around the plugged in actuator under the hood--its ashame to have taken all that other crap out and then have that motor just ziptied up like that. eyesoar--but what can ya do? maybe that can be the next download/update to the smarty s67 software.......

Okay here is my first impressions. They are good. It is ultra smooth great fuel economy, but the boost is gone.
Marco,
Can we make a REVO setting like we do for timing, but make it for boost control. I can barely eech out 23 psi on this last ran at WOT pushing 100 mph (closed track of course):hehe:. Maybe have setting two be mild boost all the way up to setting 4 being wild boost like we had in dr09me. This would be really cool if we could get it that way.
Andy
I am attaching a readout on my last run. View attachment 15868

Sure wish my Insight would stay running long enough to log a decent data table. Unfortunately, unless I unplug and replug it at the OBD-II port before starting the truck EVERY TIME, it will shut off after about 5 minutes of the truck running.

Im liking the boost numbers on R12. Getting closer to giving it a try.

Bronco, have you loaded your insight on the computer and updated the firmware on it. Mine did the same thing until I loaded it on the computer and updated it.
Andy

Also I wish the boost was a revo setting. When you are towing heavy the extra boost sure helps to keep the egt down.

Hey Andy,

I'm on my 2nd Insight module and cable and have the 3rd one sitting in my back seat awaiting my install. I've done every firmware and software update they have offered (even if it wasn't for our trucks) and nothing has fixed the issue. Just to clarify, your Insight would save it's settings and shut itself down while you were driving until you updated it via the Fusion software?

I think the boost fooling as a REVO setting would be a fantastic idea. Talk about the perfect way to make every user happy.

:ditto: It would be really cool to have more control over the boost like that...... So can I run my quad boost fooler with this software???
