door not loose because of POS hinges?
Most common issue is door wiring in between doors, known to break cause issues.

 

I don't recall ever reading about this issue before, has to be in the wiring somewhere.

 

Sounds like the harness going to the door has some wires starting to chafe and ground out. Usually the speaker wires will do this in the back doors before the other wires give up from flexing every time the doors are opened. Probably has nothing to do with the throttle other than the acceleration causing the ground side of that circuit to short out. I could be totally wrong but its a sensible place to start looking.

 

If the wiring is in tact, you're going to have to pull the door latches and troubleshoot. The door ajar/dome switches are integrated into the latch. They can fail or stick. Although I haven't had one in my truck go bad, my Golf suffers from a poor microswitch design which leads to gunk building up on the switch and it doesn't function properly. Sometimes you can get some pressurized electrical contact cleaner down the latch and it can help, but the only sure way to fix is to pull it out.

 

Ok guys I am posting this for my friend. He has an 05 2500 and has developed an electrical issue the past couple of weeks. Whenever he steps on the accelerator the interior lights come on the dash dings and the door ajar light comes on. As soon as he releases his foot off the pedal all of that goes away. Looking for some insight as to where to start looking for the issue or if anyone has experienced this before. Thanks

Okay I got the same issue did anyone ever figure out what causes this. When you accelerate the door ajar light comes on and dings and interior light comes on then when you let off the gas it stops

 

Same issue with my 03 started yesterday. As long as the truck is moving and I step on the throttle, the door locks go nuts along with door ajar light. It’s not acceleration because I put the truck in neutral while coasting at 25mph, stopped on the throttle and all the locks went nuts along with door ajar. intuition is telling me door wires, did you guys figure this out?

 

I kind of think it’s the door actuator on mine but I haven’t got to fixing it yet I just pulled the fuse for the door locks in the mean time and everything stopped
