So let me start off by saying, I'm a long time fan, but just recently joined. GREAT WEBSITE and LOTS of knowledge... A huge THANK YOU to all the members out there already!!!

Now on with my question....
I am performing a repower of a 79 Ford crewcab with a 93 cummins 12V. I purchased an entire 93 D350 dually 2WD and began my retro fit to the old crewcab. I have used the entire wiring harness from the D350 also so that I could retro the dashboard to an updated style .
The 93 D350 was an automatic and I thought I was going to go this route until I took it for a spin (yeah, I didn't like that) and then came across sweet deal on a NV4500. The NV4500 is out of a 97 4WD. I have also added the NP241 transfer case (year unknown) along with the Dually Dana80 rear axle from the 93 D350. The NV4500 is AWESOME!!!:party018: I'm happy I scored it..... However, I caused myself a problem. The original automatic A518/46RH had a VSS in the rear of the 2WD tailcone. The 4WD NV4500 does not have a location for this and the Tcase doesn't either. How do I solve this so speedo and cruise work? Is there a way to connect the Vss wires to the "pickup" from the sensor on the Dana 80 (I think its for ABS, which I dont have. I'm using a no ABS setup)

i have heard of guys using the vss on the rear end for speedo. i think you will need the converter from dakota digital. somewhere on here someone has done this and posted how he did it. i will see if i can find it again.

I didn't think it would be that big of a hassle. I was thinking I could just locate a T-Case which has the hole for the VSS hole and bolt it on.(current T-case has no hole). Use the VSS from that year and rewire a few wires. What years were the VSS hole available on the T-case?
