I went the Pvc route from moparman's website, only tweaked a little. I've seen people add a 1/2 by 1/2 in barbed fitting to the existing hose and run it behind the front axle though

Hey man I just ran an extension all the way down the driver side frame and dumps out behind the cab, or you can use a qt can of oil and run the tube down the hole and cut a hole somewhere in the top for a vent. I've had each and they work great

I just put some 3/4" oil cooler hose on mine and dropped it straight down. only get a few drops of black per month with this setup. Works OK as long as you aren't trying to keep a perfect clean concrete driveway.

The only reason for my design is because I'm offroad quite a bit and was losing upwards of 1 full gallon of oil out in the back country. No longer have this issue with my modified pipe.

I just recently modified mine. I used a normal valve cover breather. Found a fitting to insert in the end of the breather so I could attach it to my 3/4" hose that I am using. Mounted the filter in the rear of the pickup. Ran the hose back to the front and connected with the existing hose. I also stuffed the inside of the breather filter with scotch brite. My hopes is that it will just collect any oil that comes down the tube and I will just clean the filter setup each oil change. If this idea does not work I have found an internal transmission filter for a GM vehicle, its sealed except for a breather hole on one end and a nozzle on the other. The filter paper is VERY high micron so it should be able to collect any oil residue quite well. Yet again my plan is to just have to clean it every oil change. (I just bought the truck and I am starting to battle the leaks and I'll be DAMNED if Im gonna let a little oil bottle ruin my hard work)
