My truck originally had an hy on it with a j hook and I was seeing about 25 lbs out of it. One day I got bored with 25 pounds and welded the actuator arm so it wouldn't move. Works like a charm. Only do if your not scarred of damaging a turbo lol.
Well I will say it since no one else has. Fill out your sig so we actually know what you have done to your truck. (I'm clear you said stock other than the box an HX but not everyone will read that post) We can throw out ideas all day long and keep hearing you tell us you've tried it. In addition to the sig, what have you tried so we can eliminate the obvious. Is your VP44 tapped with the edge? Is your boost elbow a handmade job or did you by a reputable one?
Yes I had to tap into the vp44 in order to connect comp box boost elbow bought it on eBay I'm waiting on fleece performance he vgt controller I'm wanting to put h e 351 v G T turbo on the truck

^^^ I agree, you may very well have a leak but I think I recall you saying you were getting 25 psi but can't get more. I would venture to say that you are running out of fuel. If your running a comp box and a tapped pump, but you don't have an aftermarket lift pump, you probably have a weak pump on both accounts now, and only have enough fuel to make 25psi. Do you know what kind of fuel pressure you are running?
No I do not know the fuel pressure I did buy a fuel pressure gauge haven't installed I do have air dog fuel pump 150 thanks for your time I appreciate the help!

I would say you simply have a cheaply made boost elbow then. It is still possible that you have a weak pump, or a boost leak, or some other issue. The HX with added fuel will still only make 20ish psi without a good boost elbow. I could only make 18 with a tapped pump on my HX till I bought a GOOD elbow. Now I see anywhere from 28-32psi. I also have a brand new VP44 and a mechanical lift pump. so WFO I make 20pounds of fuel pressure.
quick test. Take a pair of vice grips and crimp the line to from the compressor housing to the waste gate. Then go hammer on it to see what kinda boost you make. Better yet take a brass plug and just plug the compressor side.
Well then I would go through all my boots and clamps for starters. Maybe find something there. I know on my truck I got a leaky intercooler boot but I don't have problems with it until over 45 psi.
YOu install a vgt and some injectors with the comp, you will be way over 25 psi. I have 7x.010 injectors and just a power puck and can hit 40 easy.
