I'm interested as well. Later in the future I am wanting to go with black or color matched bumpers with black wheels. I think its a clean setup.

 

There is a company I saw at sema that makes color matched bumper covers. Apparently it’s difficult to tell it’s a cover. I’ll see if I can find the website.

It is slightly off... and ages differently. I plan on getting paint matched stuff soon.

 

i think it should be close, but in different lighting you will notice the difference.

 

Thanks for the replies. I'm getting them wrapped on Wednesday. I was originally going to get some steel bumpers and paint them but i don't want to spend that kind of money right now.

 

Post some photos when you get them done. I have a Bright White truck as well and have been wanting to do the same thing but wasn't sure how big the color difference would be. Thanks for the link ttengineer. I'll have to look into those as well.

 

I have my truck back from getting the bumpers wrapped. Now my truck isn't very clean, I'm always on dirty dusty job sites and drive on dusty and muddy roads. it gets a car wash but hardly ever gets buffed and waxed. Being that the vinyl is fresh it definitely is brighter than the truck, I'm thinking after a week or so the bumpers will get some dirt and dust on them and it will match a little better. So far i am pleased with the result and the change in look of the truck.

 

Do you have any pictures of this grill with your bumpers still chrome and no winter front? It's exactly what I'm doing, so it would be nice to have a idea of how it will look. I pm'd you too.

They did not, had that paint matched 2 years ago when i bought it

 

This turned out great! I played around with this idea when I had my last 4th gen. I just couldn't locate a shop or diy supplies very easily so it was always a back burner project. But seeing this is awesome, I will definitely wrap my next truck like this if it isn't already matched. I think it gives the truck such a nice and clean look!

I think i got it off of ebay site like e-auto grills or something. It looks basically like what you did, bought a black one and had it paint matched at a local shop

 

I like this. I was thinking of doing mine black. But color matched looks better. Can you pm me around what this cost you. If you don’t mind.

 

I ordered a grill and shell on eBay from GalaxyMoto all black with mesh center for $350 Cad ($250 US) and I'm guessing around $100 to paint. I've seen decent reviews on here from that buyer so hopefully will be good quality.
