are you talking about one to control your boost pressures, if so it is in the compressor housing of you turbo, should be on the bottom of the face of it.
looking at gauges for a 12v - egt, trans temp and boost. what is used for turbo boost on a mechanical diesel? a mechanical boost gauge? i am guessing that this thread is about connecting the gauge to the turbo?

Thanks, can and will do, I was just wanting to know if I needed boost with the fuel and how to get it. So when I turn up the fuel it will increase the boost enough?
the best place to get pressure for a boost gauge is in one of the holes in the head. There are two spots right by the injection pump that have plugs in them. Just remove the plug and instal the gauge fitting. http://www.tstproducts.com/pdffiles/instboo24.pdf
But put a boost elbow on a stock truck and I bet you'd see more boost. If you don't have a boost elbow and add 150hp injectors, #0 plate 4K gsk, etc you'll still see stock 20psi (untill you fuel enough to build pressure with the wastegate open)
the 12valves wastegate set up is different then the 24 valves there is no hole in the front of the turbo for the elbow. the 12 valves wastegate is attached to a metal line that goes across the top of the head thats attached to a rubber line about 3inchs long thats right behind the intake and onto a tee. take the rubber hose off and put a piece of rod in that hose and clamp it so it cant move. attach the line back and you should see about 30lbs anways with the plate slide forward only. this completely shuts the wastegate off but is a cheap fix if you want more boost.
Only some of then are like that. Some have the elbow in the compressor housing
