I have a 2011 3500 Laramie bone stock and the coolant temps have never been above 180F (whether highway or city driving). I am assuming that the T-Stat is stuck open but I am not sure. Could this be a sign of other problems with the cooling system?

My 2012 runs between 199-203 all day regardless of outside temps or even when towing. Only time it goes higher is when climbing a mtn pass. 180 seems really low for everyday use. Mine usually runs up to 206-208 before opening then drops to 194 before settling in to the 199-203 cycle.
I have a 2012 that ran about 193-199 when new and recently is hanging around 180-183. I have a new thermostat on my workbench, just need to find a night to put it in. Yes sounds like you have the same fate as me time to buy a thermostat.
Oh and mine only had 31k miles on it. Surprised it quit so early but nothing is made to last anymore☹.
My 2010 also seems to be sticking a little. Seems to run a little warm before the first opening!
