Same here. The engine compartment is slammed. Its hard to find open ground for relays and such.

 

I'm using one its mounted on top of the fuse box.

 

I have a question for you, where did you mount the controls in the cab and how was it wiring up the control panel in the cab?

I have a 2nd gen and no room but this is what I did.
mounted on the fuse box

and I put 4 switches in when I put in a 2dinn

 

and back lite

I used 1 circuit for the train horn in the steering wheel and have 1 spare

I know this was a few weeks ago, but just a heads up.. the brand name spods are really expensive.. if you are comfortable enough with electronics and knowing what's right/wrong, you can pick up a spod knock off for about a $150. You can find them on Amazon/eBay/China.com's/etc.. just search Spod. They should pop up.
