A friend of mine is having some 4wheel drive issues and has to take his 05 in to the dealer. He's running smarty also. He's concernd about his key count. Is there any way to up a key count. He says he thought he read once where there was a way to up a key count. I've never heard anything like that,but I told him I would try to find out something. I heard the noise his truck is making, there's some serious clunking going on and it's only in 4wheel drive.

Smarty doesn't re-set the key count.:thumbsup:
it is advertised as undetectable......tell him to just put it back to stock and make sure it;s not laying on the front seat when he takes it in.

A service Tech. posted a while back that he tried to find traces of the Smarty after being returned to the stock program.
The only "proof" he could find was idle time vs run time.
He concluded that it would be tough for a dealer to prove that a programmer had been installed from this information.

I told him to just take it in!
He just needs to man up and face the music. I've been running several different tuners for about 2 years on my 06, and I've had my truck in the shop for just about everything. So far no problems yet. He just needs to stop being a chicken:chicken: and take it in.

Bob takes care of key count issue no charge, updates his tuner for free and throws in a 100 grand.The candy bar of course! Now thats good service.
