I got a 07 2500 and I have been noticing that it's being running hotter than normal. It runs about 190 idling and cruising side streets but once I get on freeway about 65 70 it runs over 200 maybe 210. Even when I'm not towing and its bone stock should I be worried

No, 200-210 depending on outside weather is acceptable. No SIG, so I have no idea what mods (if any you have) and you don't have a location specified, so maybe I will just assume you're in Arizona where its like 110F outside.

Check your coolant levels and see if you have broken fins or obstructions to the radiator(s)..

maybe do a radiator flush or pressure wash your radiator out.. could be ineffective due to crud, bugs, whatever on the outside.. the inside could be partially plugged. also, perhaps your thermostat is not operating properly, ei opening fully... just some ideas... I run my H&S mini on HOT all the time, cruising on freeway around 75mph in 105* outside air temps, maintains 190-195 very well.. cheapest easiest things are to clean radiator, inside & out...

My buddy had a similar problem. But he was hitting 240 on upgrades towing. Ended up being his clutch fan wiring was bad. Rewired and she's running within normal temps now.

Little odd. My truck never gets over 205 city driving in near 100 degree weather.

Thermostat would be a quick fix. Since you have a new radiator. When filling. Ok... So I've been told. Air bubbles can get trapped in the radiator causing it to run hotter. Not sure this is completely true. But you might want to investigate this a bit.

I agree, I had that happen on my other vehicle. When the system was filled back up it was filled cold. When the Thermostat opens, you all of a sudden have empty space in the radiator. Leave the cap off and idle the truck up to temp to where the thermostat opens and see if you need to top it off. When moving you will stay cool enough but once you hit side streets you will run hot.

I just replaced the water pump on my 6.7. When you refill with coolant, make sure your open the "vent" on top of the engine. The vent is located at the top of a black pipe that sits above the engine. The vent pipe has a sticker on it and instructions to open the vent when filling with coolant. The vent allows air to escape as you fill.

My vent was screwed in pretty tight. Be wary as I have read reports of the vent screw being difficult to remove. Mine came free with a little extra pressure, more than I would expect though.

Good luck :)

DodgeCumminstittle92, I thought about doing the same. But after talking to several different mechanics. They explained that the normal operating temperature of the 6.7 cummins was 200. So I stayed away from the 200. Doesn't mean they're right. Just what the general consensus showed. So I stuck with it.
