Hey y'all, I have a super clean low mileage 97 rclb 12v now and I absolutely love it to death :party018:
since I got hired to the police department I wanna treat myself to another cummins :stirpot:
I intend on ordering a loaded 2012 2500 rclb outdoorsman g56 6.7 4x4 and doing a battery of upgrades, such as suspension from thuren and carli, exhaust and ic tubes from mbrp, an s&b intake with scoop, line-x in the bed, gdp ladder bars, and bmf rehabs with 35" red letter grabbers... :drool2:
Now, I (being in south florida where no one can drive stick) have never seen a 4th gen rclb 6.7 g56 4x4 (like I want) so I was wondering, do any of y'all have one and if so what do ya think? Any pictures advice or opinions would be much appreciated, thanks in advance  :blues:

I'm not sure about the American models, but in Canada we cannot get an outdoorsman with a manual trans. Maybe the US is different?

I don't think you will regret. If you're looking for performance, plan on EGR and DPF deletes if possible. Will give you some extra power and mileage gain.

I wanna do deletes, and a smarty tune, but I dont wanna lose my warranty... its a tough choice! why cant it just be simple like my 12v :confused013:
im only 20 so this is gunna be my 1st big purchase so im gunna get EXACTLY what I want...

There were several g56 trucks when i bought mine. On the dealer warranty issue where i bought mine the diesel tech made a good point when he told me i can mod whatever i want because he realizes how bad of fuel mileage they get and how it helps the engine last, but his main point was most of their sales are to local farmers who want to throw big weight on a trailer and mod the trucks, if they start voiding warranties they loose a lot of business

I do wanna talk to the folks at the dealer, but im not exactly sure who to talk to...
the dodge dealer by me who ill be buying from (rob lambdins) has a pretty good reputation, so I hope they'll help me out on mods... :w:
I dont wanna do anything ridiculous, just a mild smarty tune with full deletes, intake, and tbe exhaust.. :sofa:
this is gunna be my dream truck, so im hopin they play ball... :peelout
still wanna see some pictures of g56 regular cabs guys... :worthless:

That dealer is full of Liars, crooks & thieves. STAY AWAY. They sold me a NEW LEMON 2010 Laramie that was bad on day 1 & would not stand behind it or offer ANY help getting things resolved with Chrysler. :banghead: There Salesman, Service manager, General manager & owner are all pond scum IMO.

HAHAHA!! :rof I just wanna do deletes, nothin crazy like that :hehe:
I would be SO happy if they said it was cool... :drool2: I guess we'll find out when I go to order it in late january

You do know that it is not your dealer that calls the shots on warranty, it is Chrysler. Be very careful. Service manager tells you go ahead, delete you'll be fine i will see to it, he moves, quits, gets fired, new service manager laughs at you when you tell him other manager said it was o.k to delete emissions. Just sayin' is all.

your gonna love the 4th gen! I personally would leave it stock and enjoy the warenty. I only have 300 miles on my new 2012, im at allitle over a half tank of fuel, im gonna run it empty, do the math and see what my mpg is. My advice on the truck and the job, wait and see if you pass the FTO before you sink alot of cash into a new truck.

dont ever run a diesel empty  and im at 11 months on the job now, no fto at my department also
Where are you at? I'm in coral springs if you are familiar with the area! I did the deletes and everything to my 08 mega 6.7 g56 so if I can be of any help let me know!
First thing first...go to another dealer!!!! Arrigo is by me...always been good to me! They aren't competitve with prices though
im in fort lauderdale and im always in springs, creek, and margate...
and sounds good, it would be nice to know a fellow cummins enthusiast!
all my friends have powies or dmaxes  and I already ordered..
they've taken really good care of me so far, so I cant complain!
they gave me 2x more off then arrigo wanted to
and +1 on the waiting...I just got off probation (fire department) and I actually downgraded trucks ;)
Went from an 08 6.7 7" lift 37's, to a 02 24v eclb on 35's with big single and suncoast...to now a 97 with 10" lift and 38's! I own my truck cash and it's a GREAT feeling...now just to save for a house :(
And deletes...do em as soon as you are confiednt you don't ahve a lemon!
I have a 97 now and there is no probation with my department so ima free man
and also im gunna wait till about 6k to do deletes, thats when the book says everything will be broken in :party018:
Cop who wants deletes
I would think most ppl would like that?? ive always modded my vehicles, even my work truck :stirpot:

Dont need to run a diesel out of fuel to calculate mileage!!? Simple fill it up or if it was full when you get to the low fuel light fill it back up, mileage driven /gallons to fill back up = MPG its not good to run them out of fuel they dont like it at all!!!!
