Does anyone know if Dodge will match the horse power and torque increase that Ford and Chevy have in the 2011 models?

Thanks

Does anybody know when they will start taking orders for the 2011 trucks??
i ordered my 2011 1 ton dually with G56 and regular cab several weeks ago. the dealer tells me between 10-15 july he will know when the truck will be delivered. as far as incentives for the 2011 dodge headquarters tells me to recontact them on 2 july and they should have info regarding the $1500 rebate from dodge. i sure hope they carry this 1500 buck over because any incentive will apply up to the point i take possession of my CTD.

Just ordered my 2011 3500 CC Long bed yesterday. Been waiting for over a month for pricing to show up but yesterday the dealer said let's just order it. No pricing yet. Two things I've noticed so far is the Chrome Package (includes nerf bars and chrome molding on the doors) and Integrated Trailer Brake Controller were not options on the Laramie. I'm hoping they are standard now.

I ordered without the rear entertainment center (DVDs are already an outdated technology) and without the NAV system because for $800 I can buy 4 new garmins. Plus all the other vehicles I've had with NAV never got used because I'd bring my garmin. Works when the vehicle is moving and was easier to use than the early in vehicle navs. As far as I know I don't lose anything by not ordering nav and the new cell phones are actually becoming more effective for navigation. I'm looking forward to the backup camera though.

I loaded it up with the rest of the options. Dealer thinks 6 weeks till delivery but I bet it's closer to 10 weeks since they don't start building till July 15. Order sheet says the build priority is 99 whatever that means. Either way he said he'll stick by my trade-in quote and the incentives, if any, could get better with time.

Production on the 2011's started last Monday July 5th. The order bank for 2011 models opened on June 1st. I just started a thread on some interesting new colors and options for the 2011's a couple of minutes ago.

i ordered my 2011 several weeks ago. the dealer had to get the invoice prices from headquarters and i bought for invoice less any incentives that there are at delivery time.

i called detroit dodge headquarters and they did not have the incentives as of my call but told me to call back this week. the 1500 bucks only apply to the 2010.

don't pay anything over invoice if the dealer hems and haws then go somewhere else.

dealer told me between 10 - 15 july they will have the exact build and delivery dates.

good luck.

This happens everytime there is a hp war. A cummins engineer was at the dealership once and told us that these trucks (back when the 6.7's were coming out) can make a lot of power stock but they detune them for reliability and mileage.

Her is how I always describe it. Ford/chevy the two stupid brothers that are always fighting. Dodge/cummins the smart older brother. Dodge/cummins just sits back and lets those two idiots fight over making the most power. When this happens those two idiots start tearing up their engines and having problems. Then cummins just goes into the computer and bumps up the hp/tq and laughs at the idiots.

I just got back from the dealer here. Test drove a 2010 SLT 2500 CC short bed 6 speed. Of course after the test drive we talked some numbers. $41000 and 1.9% for 5 years. Of course trying to get me to buy the truck today, sales man said their are no incentives for the 2011 plus a 4% increase in MSRP.

They are following in Fords footsteps. Same exact truck from 2010 fully loaded King Ranch F-350SRW to 2011 has a 8300 doller price diff. Same exact truck except for the motor and trans. Total BS in my eyes. Its like they are trying to pay for the new motor in one year!

I was notified yesterday from the dealership that my new 2011 crew cab will be delivered July 22.

#16 ·
well i hope my 2011 is not far behind. when did you order the truck and what state will it be delivered to? i was told that the $1500 incentive will be applied to the 2011 as they were for the '10s.

What size wheels are going to be on the SRW trucks. I see the '11 Chevy's are going to have 20's.

Hey,

Sorry guys not trying to hijack, but about how long does it take to get your truck once you order it??:confused013:

Also any word on the 2011 truck using the urea system??:confused013:

Thanks,
Winslow

4 -6 weeks dealer tells me. also says a order with a name upon it gets priority build. 11s will not have the urea system because they meet EPA standards. the 11 chassis cabs will have the urea but not the other trucks. all 12s will have the urea according to dealer.

Thank god there's no smog in the county my vehicles are registered in!

i see you are in the bay area, a country unto itself. :party018: just kidding as i lived up in alameda and on treasure island for 2 years. that said i understand you don't want to run mexican diesel on any 6.7 because of the sulfur content so i would think that leaves canada. beautiful country and weather similar to the bay in the western part of canada.

guess i am spoiled with this san diego weather.

you want crazy? the rumor mill sez that even lawn mowers in california will have to be smog compliant.

i plan on changing my residency to south dakota, putting the camper on the back of my truck and head back to the warm beaches of socal. sons will have the house so i can still get mail! why south dakota you ask? no smog checks and tax friendly for retirees.

I was down in Calif. this winter. I was surprised to see all the same old beaters and modded diesels etc. as we have up in Canada. I thought it was more strict than it apparently is........:confused013:

#38 ·
state just started the smog on diesel, yes, the modded diesels and harleys may have problems come smog time. harleys not law yet but probably coming. now for the old beaters, did the license plates say "baja norte?":sb:

The 2500/3500's won't have urea till the next compliance time and by then the new Cummins should be out with no DPF or DEF system. They will be using MultiAir and the new EGR only emissions control.
