So after 220k miles, my 2006 2500 2wd transmission is failing. With all Dynamic's posts and recommendations, I'm considering one of his Stage 2 trannys.
The build list looks great (see link below), the price is at the top of my budget. Anyone care to comment on their Stage 2's please?

I will say that you wont be disappointed with that unit. He really does understand the 47 and 48s.

I have been in correspondance with dynamic recently and read his many posts. Not only does he know his stuff, but he is one of the most helpful and nicest people I have ever encountered in this business from my interactions so far. His parts list is totally solid for the stage II and his pricing is a very good deal IMO. I feel good enough about what he has to say that I am ordering from him soon.

I'm running a Dynamic Stage III and echo the comments from the posts above. Jon's a solid guy, knows the 47RE AND 48RE inside and out and he backs his work. His parts kits are solid (same parts he puts in his builds) plus, he's just a great guy to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him again.

Ordered the Stage II transmission build this week. Spoke to Jon at some length, he explained the process, products Dynamic uses, whether I needed to consider a bullet input shaft, time frame to ship, everything. Most painless process I've ever done for a long-distance purchase for this much money.
Andy at Pacifica Transmission will be doing my installation, he's the best in the region. Cant wait to see the results, besides my wife would love to get her Subaru back.
More later.

Good luck with that. I've looked at a lot of rebuild kits to educate myself and compare and decided some time ago to go with a Dynamic stage 2 kit. I've talked to a number of transmission guys, again to educate myself and compare. For me Jon came out on top of the heap as someone that I'd be comfortable working with, but that is a real personal thing. Garmon in Atlanta was a heck of a nice guy I'd be comfortable working with. There was one other guy.

I didn't speak to a whole lot as I don't want to waste folks time, just get a feel for personality. I can say there are a fair number of folks with very poor customer skills. They possibly might be superb transmission guys but they shouldn't be answering the phone.

Can you give me the info on the Atlanta guy? I live in ATL and am in the same spot of needing an overhaul. I really liked speaking with Dynamic though. A very stand up guy.

The Stage 2 transmission package from Dynamic Transmission (Gorend triple clutch Torque Converter) got installed by Pacifica Transmission and I couldn't be happier. The valve body programming hits all the shift points I prefer and there's no more "hunting" between gears. The stock unit must have been slipping quite a bit, the mileage readout, aka lie-ometer, says I'm getting 3 mpg more than before.
So thanks to everyone for getting my truck back and me out of the wife's car.
