Hey yall, as the title says, I did a swap on a 01 24v from the auto to a nv4500 and it has 4x4, so as the story goes, I'm havin problems with my center console (or lack there of). Since no one makes aftermarket center consoles for these and the local pick n pulls are dry, I still have a hole in my floorboard and rain season is comin :surprise: Does anyone have any cool ideas or examples of a custom center console to house a shifter boot they made? I've built custom consoles before but my creativity is running dry. Any help would be great thanks!

Not a bad idea. I actually did something similar back in the day on my ranger prerunner build. I'm just having a hard time figuring out how to do that, make it functional without being bulky (I can live without a comfortable center bench seat), and attach a working boot to it as well. I'll attach a picture of it as soon as I figure out how ?

I appreciate that peddle but I have my "center console" on the seat pretty squared away. I got that cup holder attachment from ginosgarage and it is aaaawesome. I'm more concerned about the piece on the floor that holds the boot for the shifter. Which gives me an idea... does anyone know if another generation center console/shifter boot can be modified to fit in a 2nd gen?? that'd be sweet.

Well I sketched up an idea of how the console is gonna go. I bought a 97 Jeep TJ shift boot because it seemed roughly the right dimensions I wanted it at. This box takes a lot of space and kind of ruins the center seat so i decided wth lets make it a thing. SO i picked up a 6-gang switch panel off amazon that seems pretty dope. i also ordered the factory bezel for the tj boot because I'm assuming I'm gonna need it. I should have the parts in a couple days, and I'll be throwing her together. Here's the switch panel for some reason i can't attach my draft of the console. MAn i need to figure this attachment stuff out
