Looking at buying a zf 6 out of a dmax is the bell housing the same as the fords zf 6 or are they completely different

Is this a better swap than an NV5600? The only ZF-6 I drove was in a Ford 6.4 tow truck with 50k miles on it and it was the loudest trans I've ever heard.

I'd say ZF is one of the strongest light duty truck transmissions available.
