soooo. here i am again, trying to get some more help with this leaking oil dipstick tube. it started as a small leak. and then i accidentally cracked the dipstick tube. now when oil heats up, it decides to come out the dipstick tube. but not a small leak anymore. when i get to my destination, it is literally everywhere on the drivers side of the motor, from the tube down, everything is oil. lol the ppump, the whole side of the motor, the fenders, the inside of my tire, all over the control arm, the transmission, and when i park, allllllll the oil hits the ground. leaving a nice size puddle. here are some pics. its dark now but ill get some pics of the mess under the hood. oh and when i stopped to check the leakage b4 i got home, opened the hood, and it sounds like my valves are knockin now. not good. kinda scared at the same time. lol any help is much appreciated on what might cause all this. and the thing that scares me is i read another thread on this and everyone was sayin its the blowby, the oil is getting past the piston rings, not looking forward to that if thats the reason all this is happening?. lol but i dont have white smoke, its not running rough, it runs just fine, oil pressure is good, and no oil coming out of the blowby tube underneath. its only coming out of the dipstick tube. but please help. thanks all in advance.
started out as this

then this

and now today, at work. even worse

nice black oil.

and ill get more pics of the motor compartment tomorrow. the mess is bad. and anyone know where to get a new oil dipstick tube? thanks all.

I replace mine with a section of 3/8" plastic air line (like they use on big rig air brakes). Just cut to length, and no more problems. Should be able to find it at any bigrig truck service center.

Good luck.

how do you mount it in the port? use the same grommet? sounds like a goood idea. and i could do that tomorrow. theres a hoseman like 2 min walking distance from me. lol i get all my airline from them. but will that fix the leak? cause itll still come out where the dipstick goes in? and thank you for your quik response.

Blowby is the increased pressure in the crankcase from compressed air leaking past worn rings, not oil into the cylinder. If you honestly do not have any air escaping thru the blowby tube it is clogged. It can be removed fairly easily after removing the starter. To replace the dipstick tube you will have to remove the starter anyway. The caveat is I have never seen one get clogged, and clogging of the tappet cover screen would mean serious sludge. You do change your oil every now and then don't you? Maybe it is time to construct a manometer and check the blowby out.

Ive only had the truck for about 3 months and the guy i got it from said it was changed b4 i got it. And ive only put 2k miles on it sense i got it. But yes. I am going to change it. And as i was down by the blowby tube. As the motor was running i saw air coming out of it. It was cold out and i could see the air so im hoping thats a good thing?

take a vacuum pump to the blowby tube, it should not accumulate vacuum, if it does it's clogged. i have never done it before but maybe you can drain your oil, take the tube off and blast it with carb cleaner and see if that doesn't solve the problem
