It actually is not about hammering when you hear the TQ converter. I highly doubt you Tq converter is not chattering/shudering you just aren't hearing it. Ya, your tranny is holding up, but for how long? Even if you baby it it is wearing out at an much faster rate.I run V1 175 24/7, it's my everything tune. That tune is a keeper. No chatter and tranny holding good. It's all in how you drive. It's like what Spiderman's Grandpa said to him. "With great power, comes great responsibility." You just got to drive responsibly and not hammer it every take off or do boost 4 wheel drive launchs.
Considering there is only a 36000 mile waranty on the trans I dont think these trannies were designed to last forever anyways!!! Use it like you want to use it ! And then do the necessary upgrades when you can afford it before you blow something up !!!:thumbsup::thumbsup:It actually is not about hammering when you hear the TQ converter. I am all for it, but to think that if you just drive it light footed is not wearing it out quick is forgetting you have doubled the HP and TQ. What is the point of having a tuner cranked up in the first place if you are not using it? Run it on a lower setting then or take it off.Considering there is only a 36000 mile waranty on the trans I dont think these trannies were designed to last forever anyways!!! Do you have an XRT? No? That's what I thought. Opinions are like belly buttons, everyones got one but you seem to have several. :thumbsup:It actually is not about hammering when you hear the TQ converter. Having the adjustibility will be a real cool feature for the H&S owners to have and less strain on the tranny. I too like to drive around with the high HP tunes because I like the throttle response. It seems that the 5-6 gears suck. Too bad they did not put the 48RE in these trucks!I agree with skin, there is just no problem with 175 as daily driver. It doesnt smoke unless you step on it hard. If you want to do wheelies in front of cops or your girlfriend then of course it is going to smoke and you are going to get in trouble or tear something up. I have the auto and it just seems to go to high gear and idle around town. I get about 23 to 25 freeway and 18 around town. I dont drive it hard so have had no problems, however I do love the instant power if I do want to step on it. I have tried all the tunes and the 175 works best for me. I am sorry to say I dont have gagues, I am waiting for the Black Maxx. If you do step on it, it will smoke but clears right up unless you keep holding it down. I am a very satisfied XRT customer.arty018:

I believe that, but I also think the vibration/shudder I feel is the Tq converter slipping and trying to lock up, Sun Coast mentioned that there converter should take care of that. I don't get it on the 90hp tune just 170hp. The dyno graphs of some trucks really show the poor TQ converter struggleing. It's not the torque converter chattering, it's the clutches in the trans chattering. I just had a converter put in and the trans does the same thing. That was the dealer who wanted to do that.
When he drove it, he felt it so had the converter replaced for me.
Only way around it is to down shift the trans either manually or with your fuel peddle
