Started doing it about 6 months. turn the key, nothing, turn the key again, it starts just fine. Batteries are good and starter turns the motor over perfect. It doesn't drag or chug at all. Just rebuilt the starter solenoid last year when it was clicking. This time its different. It does nothing. You turn the key to start and it cuts the power to everything but you don't hearing nothing.
I originally thought the clutch switch, so i spliced those wires together, and although it stopped for awhile it still does it about every 5th or 6th time starting. I flip flop the 4 relays under the hood every so often and that seems to help but i really don't think all 4 relays could be at fault, since I've used each one in the starter spot at one point or another. Battery and starter wires are all secured tightly as well. I really am trying to avoid replacing the starter with how expensive they are. Any ideas?
It seems to be worst when cold.
