I have a 98.5 2500. The other day my intermittant wipers dies along with the park function.
It would still operate the wipers if I went to the low or high speen on the switch. I would jsut have to time how I turned them off to get them out of the way...
This morning I went out to do an some errands. No wipers at all. No washers at all. No pump when you push the switch.
Looked at the fuses and found the 25 amp wiper fuse blown. Replaced it and it blew again as soon as I turned on the key. (The wiper switch was off)
So...
Is this a wiper motor or a switch? Or both?
I'll order parts as soon as I know what I need to get.

the rheostat inside the switch that controls the timed wiping could of short out. hard to say really other than checking with a multimeter

I wasn't aware that it was a rheostat. I thought it was just a switch.

Just got the motor replaced, still blows the 25amp fuse as soon as you turn the key on.
What the heck is the issue. I gotta get this thing running....

I never adjust the tilt.
As it turned out, the switch and the relay were bad.
Thanks gents. It's back on the road again.
