2013 ram 2500 6.7 laramie Went out today to my truck and the windshield wipers were going key not in truck started and tried to turn off had to disconnect batteries and drive other truck any ideas

On the turn signal lever, are there other functions that don't work right. I never thought it was a good idea to have so many things tied to that lever. Bad switch maybe?? When you disconnected the batteries, did the wiper go once again when reconnected?
