Any ideas if the stock fuel pump has enough power to push through a 10micro and a 5 micro filter system??

It is working ok for now , but im worried that with just a little debris in one or both filters it will run out of steam.

Any advice?

Thanks.

You should be fine with the intank pump. Several of us are running the factory pump with a 20 micron baldwin (or fleetguard) water separator, a baldwin 5 micron (or fleetguart 7 micron) filter/water separator in the factory location, and a cat/fleetguard 2 micron GDP kit with no issues. Install a FP gauge reading between your last filter and the CP3 and if you keep your HP levels within 100 of stock you should be fine.

If that is the case then disregard what I posted. I just assumed it had been upgraded to the intank pump. Most of the 03-04 that I've seen have been.

Thanks for the new section BTW

I have an '03 & have towed many thousands of miles & a couple of years with the factory stock filter along with a Cat. 2 micron filter & never had any problems. The truck also had a power adder on it.

I installed a Glacier Diesel Walbro 392 pump that moves much more fuel & noticed NO improvement in performance, which, tells me that the engine was getting enough fuel with the stock pump. The stock pump did not die. I just replaced it at about 65,000 miles because many people were having issues at around 70,000 miles with them. It was preventive maintainance!!!

Have no fear!!!
