My garage is 82” high from floor to seal. Will a Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins fit? My current truck is a 1997 F350 4x4 standard cab gasser; stock height on 285/75r16’s, and it clears by a few inches.

It’s going to be a super close fit.. my truck measured 6’8 stock from what I remember ... 82” is 6’8.. to close call.

82” is 6’ 10”

OP: I’d wager it fits, but the easiest way to find out is to either go measure a stocker at the dealer or test drive one to your garage and look.

FWIW my 3500 lifted 2.25” on 37’s is a touch under 84” to the cab lights.

You may have missed the part where I wrote 4x4. And since this is the 2013+ group; there’s that, too.

2015+ on the year, though- would want to stay as new as I can comfortably afford.

Thanks for the helpful responses, I appreciate it. From everything I’ve gathered, a Ram will be close enough of a call that I’d have to give it a test drive to see for sure. I’m open to all brands and see pros & cons of each (mostly just my opinions anyway...). Pretty sure the F250/350’s are even a hair taller, so those are out. Looks like 2500HD or a Titan XD would be a safe fit though. My next truck might not live it’s entire life in my garage, but it still needs to fit.

Good question- I can adjust the door up, but that 82” measurement is to the frame seal with the door pushed all the way.
Ah, when you said seal I thought the one on the bottom of the door..........
come to think of it my 3500 SRW does go in a 7' door at my shop, I can measure it later and see exactly what it is in inches I am sure it is actually less.

Well.....since this indeed is the 2013 Forums, it could have been a rear leaf-sprung 2013 2500 OR a 2014 & up rear coil 2500.....and there is a difference. I was going to send you a link to RAM’s dimensional pages.....but I have seem to have deleted it. :|
