Getting ready to order a Edge insight cs for guage purposes Does anyone have any reasons not to use it ???

I had one for my duramax and the screen would go white when it was really hot outside and when it was really cold. Not sure if I got a bad one but I hear most people like them.

No complaints here. Install is a lot easier than analog gauges, and you have the ability to monitor a ton more.

CTS, plus you can add a backup camera. Get the CTS for the bigger screen.

Mine does turn black (can't see the screen) when it gets really hot in the summer. I do make an effort to cover it with the sun shade in the windshield when parked. After the cab cools in a few minutes, you can read it. Doesn't seem to hurt it any.

I had one and sold it, you have to buy accessories for it to read actual measurements for boost, fuel pressure, and an expandable EGT probe to hook up everything I mentioned, all of which cost around $120 each, other wise it reads everything off of the ECM.

I love mine, esp for monitoring the little things like fuel level in % or barometric pressure, and the mileage coach is cool too. I have the CTS and love the back up camera for hitching my car trailer. My only complaint is every single morning when it is cold the thing will beep when i turn key on and then not boot. I am calling Edge tommorrow about this, it seems to be a small group of affected ones.
