I know its commonly the CCV, but im stumped what it is, becuase im sure its not the ccv.. Bought my truck with 67k on it, see dealer message cane on at 80k (not sure why it waited) changed the ccv, and solved that. at 105k i did the GDP ccv vent.. Now im at 116k and the see dealer now message comes on on the highway (not normally when i take short trips though)..

recently got EFIBYRYAN.. only thing i have changed at all recently.. last oil change was at 114k, fuel filter same time, no CEL on at all..

Have you taken the filter off and washing it out and letting it dry. I could be wrong, however, if the filter is restricting the CCV gasses then it could send a code. It is only a half baked theory but it is the best that I have.

Thinking about gutting it anyways.. how long does that take? wondering how much time ive got to devote.. I have sand paper, mineral spirit paint thinner, all the tools id need.. Just when is the issue.. lol

I just wanted to make sure there wasnt something else that could be throwing a code telling me to see dealer

according to the manual, ''perform service'' is for CCV, ''service required, see dealer now'' indicated an issue with regeneration

You might want to check with your EFI Live guru. EFI causes a "see dealer now" issue on 6.7's.

GDP ccv vent doesn't solve the problem. You still need to change the ccv filter from time to time. When crankcase pressure builds up, it sets the message. The only permanent solution is to do the gutted ccv filter.

Its the efi, its a known problem. Only happens on highway trips or long time driving.
^^^What he said. Its an EFI problem I have it as well. You need to tell Ryan to get you the newest software for it which is not a complete fix but it will make it only "ding" on you one time rather than several. EFI is still working on making it go away completely.

This is assuming you are talking about the "service required, see dealer now" message and not "perform service, see dealer now". The perform service message is the CCV code and its time to gut your filter or spend too much $$ on a pointless filter lol

Just got the same message with my EFI Spade tuner after about 1500 miles while on a road trip. Will be watching this thread. So far been told to try gutting ccv but with only 22k on the truck I can't believe this is the problem.
Then they wanted me to delete the tune and load the stock tune and check for any stored codes. Not willing to try that 1500 miles from home. Checked for codes on the tune now on when got the message and none were found.
Can only hope they find a solution soon.

Well i asked Ryan and he said i should have had a "fixed" tune.. asked me more about what it was doing and hasnt told me what to do about it yet.. Im guessing he's as stumped as I am.. I mean i guess its not anything that hurts it, just kind of annoying when it does it

Does it do it multiple times while driving or only once?
