I ran the stock head bolts for a while with my silver 64 but never went over 45psi with it.. Now that I have studs I have my gate set at 55psi
I love my turbo not to laggy and it can still move some air... I'm gonna be giving Shane a call soon and see if we can turn this into a nice set of twins... :thumbsup:do you like the silver 64 because thats what im looking into buying
Hey bud do you plan on keeping your 64 when you do your twin setup?? I'd like to keep my silver 64 but I gotta say I do miss the spool up of the stocker... Thanks ShawnI run my 64/71/13ss with stock studs that I haven't touched for about 5 months. I hit 50 psi and that is where it is wastegated at. I plan to run twins and stock studs for a bit. Until, I pay off the twins. Then 625's will go in for sure.
I don't think it works like thatI didn't have a 64 but I did have a 62 which hit 52 psi and was still on stock head bolts. IMO a manual truck will last longer with stock head bolts than an auto just because during shifts you are letting off the throttle, in an auto it is full boosting the whole time.
I am going to run a 62 first and if it isn't bad, then I'll go to a 64. Since there are a lot of people that want a 62/71/13ss anyways.Hey bud do you plan on keeping your 64 when you do your twin setup?? Yeah, stock injectors. I was wondering if maybe that's all there is to it, but it seems there are people running stock injectors that are able to get more than 45 psi from this turbo. Are you still running your stock sticks??
