I have an 05 2500 5.9 and recently put a FASS HD 150GPH pump and after the install I hear a slight whine coming from driver side engine compartment when I accelerate.( It seems to be louder when its cold) It may be nothing to do with the pump but it started making the noise when I drove it the first time after. I had the drive shaft out to get the tank out, and everything else was routine for the install. Anybody have any idea or had this happen to you before? Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you're just talking about the noise from the pump? They are pretty loud.

Yea it very well could be. Nothing seems wrong at all. I'll just stay conscious of it.

i took an old inner tube and sliced it open..about 8"wide by 15" long piece/section and wrapped around the frame before i installed my pump to the frame..
figured it might help isolate vibration. ...
