When my truck is cold in the mornings when my turbo spools up it also makes a whining sound. I notice it does it more when I have the smarty tuned up on higher setting but does it no matter what usually. Is this an indication my turbo is going bad.??
Haven't seem any oil leaks around it nor do I have any boost leaks...

I don't think it is going bad. Mine does it too, it sounds like a ghost when it is cold in the morning, runs great though.

Yea that's exactly what it sounds like, it got louder after I put a higher HP tune on it

I think I know what you're talking about. It almost sounds like a humming sound. I only notice it for a couple blocks then it goes away.

It's completely normal. They all do it. Even the brand new ones sitting in the dealership lot.

Eh..mine didn't start doing it till past few months. All the bad stories I've heard bout these trucks made me paranoid! Lol :banghead:
