I am getting a truck tomorrow. I have two choices and would love to have your opinions. First, is a new 2008 regular cab Dodge 3500 Heavy Duty cab and chassis with a CM steel flatbed. This truck is plain jane with no power, steel wheels. We can get it for 36,000 OTD.

Next is a regular cab 2007 6.7L 3500 cab and chassis with a CM flatbed and 25k miles. This truck has chrome wheels and a nicer interior. And it was owned by one of my friends but he traded it in to get a 5500. He never had any problems with it, and it still has the factory warranty. I can get it for 30,000 OTD. Both are 4x4

Personally, I would rather get the used one and use the saved money to get a gooseneck flatbed trailer. What would you do?

I would say probably the used one. Although, if the 07 was a 5.9, I would say DEFINITELY the 07 then!:thumbsup

If the 07 was a 5.9 hands down go with a 07. You know how your friend treat it. So as long as he didn't abuse it bad I would go with the 07.

you will get real tired of manually rolling the windows up and down...go with the 07...and take your extra money and go get your flatbed.

07 seems like the better choice.
