Hi, I have an 05 cummins and I am installing lots of mods and I am wondering which tuner or stack of tuners is the best set up as of right now. The truck will be used for drag racing and I am looking for max power not fuel economy. It has afe intake, ind inj dual cp3, BFI's, phat shaft 71mm, intercooler, fass, studs, etc.

I think either a smarty/pressure box stack or a PPE/pressure box stack

If he does Smarty he won't need a press box. Everyone seems to think the PPE is the best for heavily modded trucks, like that would be...so...

WOW!

With mods like that, you'd think you could answer your OWN question!! :rof

Am I off on this?

No offense meant, so please don't take any. :beer

Thanks for the input, after responses and research I will go with the smarty. I am in the process of putting all this stuff together and I just want to make sure I am getting the most up-to-date performance out of a programmer and performance parts, I am relatively new to the common rail cummins but have built several 24 and 12v's. My next question is do I need a pressure box with the smarty or not? There seems to be some descrepency on this.

Historically yes a smarty/pressure box made a great stack. But since the revo software came out and the smarty will now do rail pressure too many the stand alone box has become superfluous.

I would have to agree, even with the REVO, and doing the huge mods you are planning on, you still may want to put a pressure box on top of the Smarty.

From what I see, your looking for massive power, So Yes, I would use a pressure box as well.
