No Bias, actual fact, a New 6.7L cummins, the New 6.4L Powerstroke, or the new 6.6 Duramax... which truck do I buy? I just want facts and people's experience to help me determine... None of this "its a Dodge, buy it" arguments or visa versa...

Go drive them. I like my dodge. I anticipate getting a lot of life and use out of this truck. For me it came down to price and what I wanted the truck to do. With a question like this all you are going to get is opinion. Make up your mind. Go through the forums and see what owners are dealing with and make a decision for what you want/need. you can rebut most anyone's reason as your needs are specific to you as are your likes and dislikes.

If you have a question about a rig these forums can help but to have a forum randomly give opinions, I'm not sure you will get much help.

personally i would go with the ford for comfort and the mirrors but if your going to tow i would go with the dodge. we have an 08 ford at the towing company i work with and its not that great with a truck on the hook.

First question is what do you plan on doing w/ it? That'd probably help some people narrow it down for you. I've owned a D-Max, I've driven P-Stroke @ work and I own a Cummins and they all have their ups and downs..

Tow, race, offroad, show, ect.....It'll be lifted with bumpers and custom paint...performance parts are a must, and I will be towing steel for the company..pretty much what I do with the Dodge and the FOrd we have now...

I would go with the best interior. Everyone has their opinion on exterior looks, and there are enough aftermarket support to make any of these trucks fast. The Ford King Ranch is very nice. I'm a diehard Dodge man, but I wish I had that interior in my truck. Or you could be the first to pimp out a 2009/2010 new Dodge and be in every freaking truck magazine on the planet! :roof::woot2::hyper::woot:

Well I choose the Cummins Dodge combo, because I wanted
1, Manual trans, GM does not offer a manual trans 2, Simplicity, if it broke I want to be able to fix it. Ford and GM some things are on the back of the engine and you have to remove the cab to get to them. 3, reliabitly, I dont want to work on it all the time. Ford has been having issues with International engines for a few years.
4, Price 5, Looks I used like to old Fords and GMC's, not the new ones.

These are just so of the things to look at before buying a new truck.opcorn:

I would go with the Dmax or the cummins. It sounds like you are going to do a lot of performance mods and from what ive been hearing in my area the strokes haven't been holding up as well. I like the interior on the chevy the best, and the king ranch is sweet too. I went with the cummins and six speed manual because I wanted a lifted truck that would still get good mileage and not have trany issues. Im lifted on 315/75 and still can easily get over 20 on the highway if i don't push the speed limit. But thats an older 24 valve. Haven't owned a new one yet, just been in them and talked with guys that have them.

I would go with the Cummins. It sounds like you need a very versatile truck and the Cummins would do that best, imo. Next choice would be the Duramax.

Wouldn't touch that new Powerstroke with a ten foot pole.

The Ford "better idea" about taking off the cab to work on the engine scared me off big time.
Now Dodge or Chevy. Let me tell you what I did. I ordered a Dodge and when it came in the deal had changed. They wanted $360.00 more than in the contract. I told them to stick it!! and ordered a Chevy. The truck has been flawless, Just towed my 17k 5er 2400 miles and it was great. I love the truck. I probably would have said the same thing about the Dodge though. They both have issues and we know. Good luck in your quest.

I got two dodges 5.9 and 6.7, almost 200k one fuel pump.
1 ford...where do I start...two more turbos to go bad DO NOT GET A FORD!!

Cummins or Allison... Cummins with Aisin!
