Ok I need someone to take me to motor school a little bit. I'm in the planning stages for my up and coming chev conversion. I'm curious about which motor would be the best combo of easy install, efficiency and power. I don't need a power monster but like any other guy I do like to tinker and tweak a bit. I'm hoping for around 500-600 hp. It will be a daily driver and tow vehicle only occasionally towing around 10000lbs.

In my research I have found that the 12v is easiest to wire from the lack of computers etc. I would assume that the older you get the easier to install but can I get too old to be worth trying to get that kind of power.

Also I would ideally put an Allison behind it so any info on that install and adapters needed would be great.

Thanks in advance.

The best 12v is the 94 to 98 and if you really want to break it down 96 to 98 for the better p-pump.
