Well, I am in the market for a new 48RE. I was wondering which aftermarket trans should I opt for.

I tow a 30' toyhauler and due a lot of mountain driving.

Suncoast?
NADP?
ATS
other...

Suncoast, Goerend, BD, NADP (if you can afford it) HTS, they all make good stuff, just depends on your preference. I haven't even decided who I want to go with.

I have Goerend stuff, However my recommendation would be have it done by someone relatively close to you. I was leaning to Dave's stuff before I made a decision, but the final decision was because there was an installer in my area.
However had I not been close to one of those I might have went to someone else.

If you are going to do it yourself, then I guess it is up to you where you wanna ship stuff from. For me having somone "local" was worth that much more in the long run.
