I have one cut loose pipe near my engine. Does anyone have an idea where should it connect to? Here's some pictures of it.

B goes to transmission.

OK, Thanks, now I'll have to connect it somehow.
Does anyone know what does it do? Does it cause any problems if disconnected?

looks like the vacuum line to your cruise is hooked up, try lifting the brake pedal lightly with your toe next time you try to engage it. might just be a out of adjustment brake switch.
I understand the ac and heat works, but does it cycle from vents to defrosters to floor?
that line is for the heater controls on my truck. (unplugged it and tested......really bored today LOL)

Good point, ac and heat works but doesn't cycle, it's always blows on window. So it must be the heat controls, not the cruise control.

i believe all the vacuum system for the cruise is under the hood, just the electric stuff comes in the cab.my cruise quit working shortly after it went in for recall on the cruise cable. It was off warranty so i let it go for awhile. then my t/c would not l/u. when that happened i tried lifting the brake pedal. it locked so i tried cruise......it worked too. there must be separate switches for each inside the brake switch. (never took the time to find out) anyhow mine was just a adjustment and been working every sinse.

check cruise cable attachment, then check the line. the cruise line comes off the main vaccum line

Never seen/noticed the 4x4 light.
its below the guage cluster on the left or right of the steering wheel i cant remember its yellow. when you put it in 4wd it should come on if so the cut line could be one of these other problems stated, if it doesnt come on it could still be a 4wd line

the cruise control vacuum is the one under the left battery box, I'm pretty sure the 4wd vacuum lines run down the passenger frame rail and under the transfer case. On my 96 the line that is cut on yours runs into the heater assembly... It's gotta operate the doors for the heater

The picture in the second post shows a vacuum connector and the tube going through the firewall where the heater tubes go. That vacuum line goes to the HVAC control under the dash to the right of the steering column. The heat from the exhaust manifold can cause the hose to melt together so the door in the HVAC duct does not work, thus heat or AC only comes out at the windshield defrost vents. On mine the melted place in the hose was inside the connector so it could not be seen.

I think that that pipe must be for all those things; 4x4 light, blower controls, and maybe cruise, neither of them works.
Light for cruise doesn't light up when I push the on/off button with lifting brake pedal, must be some electrical problem there..

If the end of the hose is open you probably have a big vacuum leak. plug the end and see what doesn't work.

Actually it's taped around with insulating tape, doesn't look too good but can't hear/feel anything like air either.
