17s are stock so I would think 16.5s will... Although I have never heard of anybody doing a 16.5 tire. I am not in the tire department though :confused013:

only reason i ask is because you can get the newer military steel belted mud terrains are pretty cheap. they are 37x12.5x16.5
That is interesting, did not know that thanks! With it only being .5" smaller(or .25" all around) you should not have a problem clearing the brakes.

Some aftermarket 17" wheels don't clear the calipers on 3rd gens. I highly doubt 16.5's will clear.
Really? Honestly I haven't had 17s on in forever to really remember but I could have sworn there was about 2-3" of room.

Just go ahead and pull off one tire and test fit that rim for us. I am interested to see how it goes! :thumbsup:
