17s are stock so I would think 16.5s will... Although I have never heard of anybody doing a 16.5 tire. I am not in the tire department though :confused013:
That is interesting, did not know that thanks! With it only being .5" smaller(or .25" all around) you should not have a problem clearing the brakes.only reason i ask is because you can get the newer military steel belted mud terrains are pretty cheap. they are 37x12.5x16.5
Really? Honestly I haven't had 17s on in forever to really remember but I could have sworn there was about 2-3" of room. Some aftermarket 17" wheels don't clear the calipers on 3rd gens. I highly doubt 16.5's will clear.
If you're thinking about putting the hmmwv wheels on, I'm sure they'd fit since steel wheels are considerably thinner material than the cast aluminums. If you're putting an aftermarket one, I'd definitely reccomend measuring or fitting it prior to buying. Let us know if it works, and especially where you are getting hooked up with the tires
