That's the sound my truck is making when I start out. It sounds like wet boots on Linoleum. My most likely candidates are:

1) U-joint (never had one squeek, just clunk)

2) Wheel bearing

3) Diff pinion bearing

4) Something in the rear brakes/park brake?

Any ideas? Any of you guys have a similar sound? I can't hear it after 40mph/64kph; my exhaust is too loud. Thanks in advance.

Check your carrier bearing on the rear driveline also, they almost always squeak when the start going bad.

Survey says.......the center bearing and one u-joint. The shaking finally got so bad I had to cover a spot on my icy driveway with plywood and take it like a man. I'll get the other 2 when it gets above freezing. As it was, we had a late February heat wave at -3C/26.5F/270K.

Thanks for the replies.

I could hear mine when backing up a slight grade with the door open.
How'd you bypass the reverse honk??? Not trying to hijack.
