As far as modding goes, my 2005. I loved the sound of the straight pipe. As far as stock power goes without adding anything I would NEVER go back to a 5.9. And personally I wouldn't wish a 12V on my worst enemy LOL

You gotta remember, when I had my 12V's there wasn't as many people building them the way they are building them today. There wasn't many guys racing CTD's back in the 90's. You can thank the internet for as fast as guys are running today

Also remember, back in the 90's the only guys that had CTD's were guys pulling heavy. There was no "cool factor" in owning a CTD back then. This is what I was pulling back in the early 90's

I posted this in the 6.7 section because alot of the guys who know the 5.9 and actually answer posts are here on 6.7 all the time, and also because I'm doing this off my phone and it takes forever to change threads
on that note thanks alot for the info guys, I should be getting this truck in about two weeks just want to make sure I know what I'm getting into, but if I heard correctly it should be marked on the valve cover the HP numbers?

Also, this has nothing to do with the motor, but the seats in my 04 SUCKED compared to the 05 and up.
So if you can find an 05, the seats are more comfortable.

in 03s an 04s yes, but until you get some $$$ it wont happen, you would basically have to try on purpose to drop a seat, dont get the 04.5+ jmo they run very HOT, and mileage isnt as good as 03-04, plus 04.5+s pistons melt alot easier, just my.02 either way it is a cummins

hahaha, I know I sound like a chick bringing the seats up, but it took my back about 3 months to get used to them. They just don't support the way the later seats do. Which, if you drive it everyday, you'll notice.
