how much hp and tq does it take to get these heavy trucks into the high 12's in the 1/4 mile???

Depends on the size truck but around 500-550 hp with a good boost launch should be pretty close.

I don't have a recent dyno sheet but back in 05 when I ran a 13.18 I had just recently dynoed 472hp and 998 lbs. I've since ran a 12.84 with some different injectors and electronics and I think it had a little more in it. My truck weighs 7116 pounds with me in it and a half a tank of fuel.
