So I wash my truck and it all looks great, except for the bugs still stuck all over the front.

Whats a good product (or method) to use to get the bugs off, that is safe on the paint?

if you get most of the bug off by scrubbing, then a clay bar will take the rest off.

I'll toss this one out: I used Windex LIME. The label says it has no amonia so I gave it a try after 2 commerical bug/tar removers failed. Sprayed it on - had a beer - washed it off. My truck is a white sport so the junk shows up really well on the front. I was using Turtle ICE wash in warm water and the '2 bucket' set-up I read about here. At least nothing burst into flames.

Thanks guys. I found some Meguair's bug & tar remover, but I think I might give the Windex a shot as well.

Go to the local dollar store and look for Awesome. Its a dollar a bottle and a bottle lasts me all year taking bugs off all 5 of my vehicles. I spray it on right before I start washing then wash with dishsoap and water and the bugs are gone.

My dad brings me back a case a year from Florida and I use it all the time. Its great on my trailer and awning, golf cart seats and anything else that gets a little dirty.

rejex!

all these guys are telling you how to get them off and all sound like good ideas to get them off but the better idea is too not have the problem. there is a product called rejex which is a polymer not a wax which is used on planes and boat mostly. use it as the directions say and let it cure properly and you can go through the worst bug storm and they will simply wash off! with just a hose, no pressure or scrubbing! you wont believe it until you see it!
