i like the looks of my ctd when im in the country, but now living in the city it looks so country to me and want it to look a little more city. i am thinking clearer headlights, some sort of 17 or 18" rims, and more "street" friendly tires.... still a 35 though.

anyone have ideas on what to do or what wheels to go with?

Narrower tires maybe or lose the front bumper ? Personally I think your truck looks sweet

I drive my truck in Washington D.C. Where we have enough asphalt to cover only half the roads around here... We just move it around from time to time and set up a construction zone where the pavement is stripped up.

I have a tool box... For tools and such. Tie down straps, jumper cables, towing chains too.

I'd keep the front bumper. For when some pedestrian walks out in front of you... Or when someone on their cell phone pulls out in front of you.

I'd just get narrower tires for better mileage and to deal with potholes and curbs better.

The sport style headlights would make it look nicer in both the country and city. Get to see pedestrians and deer, both of which will mess up the front end of the truck when you hit them.

It's a pickup truck, you can't take out but so much of the redneck look from it.

You're in Wyoming. The city there consists of 50,000 poeple and less than 5 minutes gets you to the middle of no where. I'm not knocking it, I tried to get my wife to move there because that is exactly what I like about Wyoming!

But I say narrower tires (or a wheel that doesn't stick them out there as far- say some H2 wheels) but not less aggresive on the tread.

i would get color matched bumpers color math your mirrors and get that ugly chrome stuff put everywhere. thats what city trucks look like to me...but i like the blacked out look..rugged and also if you want it to look more city keep it super clean.

:agree2:
If you're looking for a cleaner "city" look then you should do exactly as posted above!

Add some 10" or bigger stacks... seems like that's what all the cool kids are doing nowadays. Haha.

24" wheels, rubber band tires and about a 18" lift. Just for the speed bumps at the mall. Take the fornt drive shaft out as well. ;)

Honestly, stock bumper, or at least take the grill gaurd off your current bumper. the small mirrors, 3rd gen wheels, maybe a tool box that doesnt stick above the bed rails. lose the chrome bottom. narrower tires as well. but I like the look and would leave it. Just to look that much more different then every other city truck.

I'd leave it. I grew up in the city (Chgo - South Side) & moved to the country (60 acres of woods & hills). Screw the city. Be what you are. Hopefully your location won't last forever.

Wanna sell the bumper & tires?

i am thinking of building a new bumper this summer for it. maybe same base design, but no grille guard or a hole new design. i have thought about taking off the nerf bars but i use them to get into the toolbox, but i jump over them to get in and out of the cab. thought about taking them off though and just buying or building a single step instead of the one that i have now. (i guess it would be 3 steps, but not connected to eachother and less visible.)
i realize there is only so much redneck you can take out of a truck, and i knew i would get some ridicule for wanting a more city look. but thank you all for your help and input

If you really want the "city" look, put about a 6 foot cb antenna or "whip" but whatever you do, do not install a CB. lol
Hey now I live in the sticks out here. Got to drive 25 miles to get to the piggly wiggly. An hour and a half if I wana see a movie or go to Walmart. I have a CB whip thats taller than 6ft. I use my cb in the hunting season and occasionally when I see a buddy anand were in a bad spot. No cell phone service. I dont ssee why a city boy would want one unless he talks to truckers. 10 4?

You shouldnt care what others think of you. You are what you are, and be damn proud of who you are. Don't change ur truck looks great the way it is, if some has a problem with u or your truck there not ur friend. City or country it would fit right in down in utah rether it the big city or out skirts. Im that guy that has big a$$ mud flaps cb antenna (thats hooked up) and yes its another loud dodge with mud tires and damn proud

Why change anything? Truck looks good, not in to the lifted big tire look myself, but your truck looks nice just the same. The only change might be slightly smaller tires down the road for fuel economy down the road.
