Alright I have had this thought in my mind for the 2 years I've had my truck. My sig says everything I know I have in my truck.

The real question is I have a lot of turbo lag with my stock turbo. I don't know if that is normal or if I might possibly have bigger than stock injectors which I don't remember if the guy I bought my truck from saying there are bigger or stock.

I was thinking maybe just some 75's or 100's sticks. But i really want to get a 62 turbo also. Any thoughts?

What kind of egt's are you seeing at we wide open throttle? Its always a much better route to do more air before more fuel if you have to do one at a time.

I wouldn't say I tow way heavy but I do tow, 5th wheel horse trailer and enclosed trailers and a camper. I'd like to buy something worth the price so if it's pricey that's fine

K that's good to know. Like dieselplower said, lots of lag on a stock turbo is strange. At What rpm does your stock turbo spool?

Keep in mind if the injectors are bigger than stock it should be spooling even faster, unless you are way over fueling and choking out the turbo.

And that batmowheel s362 is a pretty awesome all around turbo for your setup.

lol your hx35 could just possibly be giving up the ghost I would check for shaft play. If you tow like that a lot you have two viable options really on the turbos setup you can run a 62 variant turbo no bigger than a 68 exhaust wheel or a 65 exhaust wheel. I doubt that you have too much fuel unless your truck runs like mine did :rof

So I found a fairly steep hill and wot my egts didn't go above 1200* I wasn't able to get spool up rpms but going 55 I had 1lb boost just cruising. I tend to get turbo bark a bit when I let off a little accelerating especially uphill

That is slow spoolup!!! My silver bullet would full spool by 1850 and that was a good sized single

I would suggest a turbo first. Upgrading airflow before more fuel helps keep egt's in check. have you taken your intake off and spun your compressor wheel by hand to check end play and run out?
