I was using my Scangauge2 until I started running the PMT.
You can erase codes by:
* doing the "key trick" on-off-on 3 times to read and 5 times to clear
* stop at your local auto parts store and get them to clear codes for you
* get a cheap scanner from parts store or even WallyWorld for $60-125

I like the SG2 (about $160)since it also functions as a trip monitor.

hey guys just wondering what kind of scanners you guys are using to erase the egr codes before taking it to the dealer for warranty work or maintenance.
i was wanting something easy to use and cheap so i can get rid of the EGR unplug code after plugging it back in

will just about any scanner that says obd2 and can readable be what i'm looking for found one called canobd2 3030 that is cheap

If it reads CANBUS you should be good. canobd2 3030 implies that it does.
