I was using my Scangauge2 until I started running the PMT.
You can erase codes by:
* doing the "key trick" on-off-on 3 times to read and 5 times to clear
* stop at your local auto parts store and get them to clear codes for you
* get a cheap scanner from parts store or even WallyWorld for $60-125
I like the SG2 (about $160)since it also functions as a trip monitor.
