i have a 2003 cummins, it had 5in exhaust, and an air intake... that it performance wise, i would like to do just a lil something to keep me on the edge until i can afford to go big. i know i want a smarty (pod) and a mp8 ect ect.. should i just start with the smarty for something to play with and be sure not to turn it up more than the instructions says to on a stock 6 spd ?

Injectors are supposed to really wake up the 03-04 trucks. Maybe a HE351 swap, they can be picked up for a decent price. A smarty will give you more power and better mileage as well. I ran SW5 on my stock clutch with no issues.

No biggie. HE351 is stock turbo off the 04.5 and up trucks. Its a little bigger than the HE341 on yours. SW5 is the 90 hp setting on the smarty. They say its max hp on a stock clutch.

Being you have an 03. If it still has the oem lift pump on the fuel filter housing. Update your fuel system. And if you are planning on the Smarty, get some gauges next.
