Isn't pop testing just checking the strength of the injector bodies?

Nozzles are so much cheaper than full injectors, and aren't full injectors just stock bodies?

My truck only has 79k miles on it, so the injectors should still be good and strong. If that's all pop testing is, I see no need to do it, nor the need to buy full injectors.

I could be completely wrong, I dont know.

Any thoughts?

Pop testing according to some has to be done when you just change nozzles. But i have had no problems since i put my 100hp nozzles in my truck. It tests the amount of pressure an injector can withstand.

injectors need a certain pressure to fire....pop testing will check the pressure on the injector to ensure they meet the pressure that the injection pump puts out

injectors need to be set at a certain opening pressure. that is the point where it "pops". then they are set to specification. it also checks how good the nozzle is. worn nozzles dont have a crisp action to them. and they also leak pressure.
