2004.5 3500 6 spd, FASS lift pump.

This is what happened:

Filled up my truck with diesel from my aux tank in the bed of the truck. Drove 2 miles to the highway, got on the highway, 1 minute after getting on highway, the truck randomly surged like lost all power for a split second, then it came back. I saw the second time it did it about 30 seconds later that the FRP went to almost 0 when it lost power for another split second.

What could cause this?

Possibly a bad/poor wire connection, ground or a chafed wires somewhere. Have you checked for codes?

What is your low side fuel pressure reading when the fuel rail pressure drops?

Unfortunately I don’t have a fuel pressure gauge setup.
If it was the LP pump how could it work normally then randomly stop for a split second?

thanks

Intermittent bad/broken electrical connections on the LP Control and/or Power circuits.

It could be the LP itself too.
